Project description
The objective of this project is to fabricate beyond state-of-the-art ceramic nanocomposite fuel cells with advanced printing techniques. The power density of the printed cells is expected to exceed 2 W/cm2, which would be a breakthrough in the field. The complex ionic transport mechanisms and redox reaction kinetics in the cells are studied with the most advanced structural analysis techniques and electrochemical measurements. The project advances the emerging renewable energy technology of ceramic nanocomposite fuel cells by solving their most important current research challenges in the material optimization, performance enhancement and stability, through combining the high-level research expertise of the leading research groups in this field, at the same time strengthening their scientific collaboration.
