Beskrivning av projektet
FAME-IP is a project exploring the emerging concept of fairness, morality and equality at the interface of international and European intellectual property (IP) law, with particular regard to new business opportunities created by disruptive innovation. Innovation and creativity presents opportunities and risks. New business models emerge using AI, streaming contents, cloud data retrievals, signals trading, hyperlinking, as well as 3D printing. For policy makers and regulators, they call for balance in protection and promotion of fair competition. However, regime conflicts, and overlaps create regulatory uncertainties and cause chilling effects on entrepreneurs and end users alike. The research project aim to explore and critically assess how fundamental values such as fairness, morality and equality are reflected in legal principles and doctrines in the global regulations of business practices in general, through the lens of IP law in particular.
