Beskrivning av projektet
The research project “Working life and Memory Impairment” ie. WoLMI, is a multidisciplinary project where mental wellbeing, legal security and occupational capacity of people with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and early onset dementia are scrutinized from the point of view of jurisprudence and health and social sciences. The main aim of the project is to increase knowledge about the situation that evolves when persons develop MCI or early onset dementia while still working, and how to support their mental wellbeing as well as secure their legal security. The research project in Finland works with close collaboration with Stockhom´s Karolinska Insititutet. Different kind of data (follow up case study, focus groups, comparative legal analysis) will be collected and analyzed in both Finland and Sweden. The study will give information and guidelines for development of working life practices, welfare services and legislation.
