Project description
The HiFlex project aims to address one of the key issues that can block viable expansion of the Internet of Everything (IoE) to the predicted trillions of distributed smart objects, namely the need for an alternative to CMOS technology for simple sensing and communication circuitry due to the need for far more circuits than predicted CMOS capacity can give and the need for lightweight, flexible form factors. The project aims to develop radio transmission circuitry on flexible substrates based on tunnel diode oscillators and high-speed transistor amplifiers by combining low temperature solution processing with low temperature atomic layer deposition and show transmission above 400 MHz.
