his project studies and develops several beyond state-of-the-art
technologies enabled by the diffusion driven charge transport (DDCT) scheme we recently demonstrated. The results are used to validate the feasibility and performance expectations of
advanced diffusion driven (DD) light emitters, solar cells, thermophotonic devices and other applications enabled by DDCT. The work includes several experimental device
demonstrations and is expected to involve substantial collaborations and research consortia enabling new spin-off research and development programs needed to
generate the critical mass for efficient further development and commercialization of the concepts. Each of the focus areas of the research constitutes a new opening with outstanding societal, scientific and technological potential, leading far beyond the present state-of-the-art and
enabling disruptive improvements in existing energy conversion technologies.
