Diabetes is the most significant challenge of the society. Early detection of diabetes can achieve significant cost benefits in healthcare sector. The project tested the link between exhaled isotopes to blood glucose (HbA1c) and related diabetic complications.
The developed technology proved to be capable of measuring exhaled air with the required precision. The results obtained are in line with third party publications. The results help to understand the metabolism and, in particular, the isotopic fractionation effects in people.
