This project aims to develop an engine that can support personal decision making by crowdsourcing the answers. The engine supports decision-making for arbitrary problems on arbitrary domains. For example, it can can support individuals in making personal decisions on issues such as education, wellbeing, or even leisure.
After creating and evaluating the engine, we will establish a public decision-model repository. The repository allows any visitor to pose new questions or to complete tasks.
The project is executed at the University of Oulu and in collaboration with various international and national partners such as Microsoft Research Cambridge, University of Tokyo, University of Zurich and the Ministry of Education and Culture. We expect the development of such a problem-solving engine for arbitrary problems, if successful, to have societal significant impact on education, lifestyle, science and policy.
