Project description
The purpose of our study was to find out the effects of changes in physical activity and lifestyle in the human body by systemís biology measurements. We are studying various cohorts of volunteer Finnish participants who underwent a great change from normal with regard to their physical activity and lifestyle. Our study found that the increase in physical activity has a beneficial effect on the risk of disease in many ways, but its greatest effect seems to be the relative reduction in adipose tissue, not so much of the independent effect of exercise. We found out that the positive effects of exercise are also visible in people whose lifestyles are good at the beginning and on the other hand that the effects of an extensive weight loss are reversible. We also found systemic biology mechanisms that could be the result of heavy weight loss and its association for underlying physical activity-related infection susceptibility.
